The rules

One Seeker. Everyone else hides. Exactly how a hunt plays out — no fine print.

Entry

Each official round names one token on Robinhood Chain. To enter, hold that token on Fomo (any amount) and post a Trade Thesis about it while entries are open. Then enter with your thesis link, your Fomo @handle and your wallet address.

One entry per account and per wallet. Rounds have a minimum and a maximum number of players (AI seats count toward the minimum). If the minimum isn't met at start time the round is delayed once or canceled — never played short.

There is never an entry fee. We never ask for your password, seed phrase or private keys. Practice needs none of this.

Verification

Verification is automatic: we check the link is a real thesis, about the round's token, posted inside the entry window, and that your wallet holds the token on-chain. Each check shows on your entry card; if one fails, it tells you exactly why and you can try again.

Spot checks can still disqualify fake, borrowed or copied links before the Seeker is drawn. If automatic checks can't finish, an operator confirms the entry.

Roles

When the round begins, one participant becomes the Seeker. Everyone else is a Hider. The Seeker comes from a seed committed before entries opened — see Fair Play.

AI players

Some rounds add AI seats so a hunt can start with only a few people. They're fixed before the seed is revealed, join the same draw (an AI can be the Seeker), and are marked AI everywhere. At least one real qualified player is always required. AI players can win but are never paid; the prize then stays in escrow.

Regulation

Hiders get 35 s to hide. The Seeker can't see or move during that time. Then the hunt runs for 5:00 of regulation.

The Seeker finds a Hider by getting within 2.4 m with them in view and tagging. There's a short cooldown between tags. The Seeker sees a cone in front (walls block it) plus a small circle all around.

Crouching and standing still in cover lowers how visible you are — it never makes you invisible. Glass doesn't hide you; curtains, hedges and rack shadows do. Sprinting is fast and loud: the Seeker sees noise rings through walls.

If the Seeker finds everyone

If every Hider is found before regulation ends, the Seeker wins.

If time expires

If regulation ends with exactly one Hider left, that Hider wins. With more than one, the round goes to Overtime.

Overtime

Outer districts halt one at a time, in an order fixed by the round's seed (you can verify it). Each halt is announced 20 s ahead, then a new one starts every 24 s.

Inside a halted district you're exposed: the Seeker sees where you are. After 12 s inside you're eliminated (lockdown).

About every 45 s a Search Pulse shows the Seeker which districts have movement. Staying within 3 m of one spot for 40 s triggers a move check that briefly reveals you.

Finally The Pit shrinks to nothing. Last Hider standing wins; if the Seeker finds everyone first, the Seeker wins.

Disconnects

If you drop, your spot is held for 40 s: come back and you continue where you were. After that you forfeit. If the Seeker disconnects and doesn't return, the round is void: no winner, no payout. Mass disconnects or a server failure also void the round. We never invent a winner.

The prize

Prizes are pre-funded promotional rewards in USDG on Robinhood Chain. The full amount is locked in a per-round escrow and verified on-chain before it's advertised; until then the round says “Awaiting funding proof”.

The whole prize goes to exactly one winner, paid by the escrow to the wallet locked at entry, once. A round shows PAID only after the payout confirms. AI winners, void and canceled rounds pay no one; funds return to the funder. Payouts can be held for a fair-play review.

Your thesis

We never judge what you write. Bullish, bearish, funny — it doesn't affect anything. We only check that it exists, is yours, is about the round's token and was posted in the window.

Rules version

These are skulk-rules-v1. Every round records the rules it was played under; changes ship as a new version and never apply to rounds already announced. Practice uses a shorter clock (3:30 regulation, 30 s to hide) and fills empty seats with AI.

FAQ

Do I pay to enter?
No. There is never an entry fee. Official rounds ask you to hold the round's token on Fomo (any amount) and post a Trade Thesis about it. Practice needs nothing at all.
What's a Trade Thesis?
A short post you write about a token inside Fomo, from that token's page. Bullish, bearish, funny: we never judge it. We only check it exists, it's yours, it's about the round's token, and it was posted while entries were open.
How is the Seeker chosen?
By a commit–reveal seed. We publish a SHA-256 commitment before entries open, freeze the qualified players when entries close, then reveal the seed about 60 seconds before the start. Anyone can recompute the Seeker in their browser on Fair Play.
Why are there AI players?
Some rounds add AI seats so a hunt can start with only a few people. They're marked AI everywhere, they join the same fair draw, they can win, and they never get paid. If an AI wins, the prize stays in escrow.
What if I disconnect?
Your spot is held for 40 seconds. Come back and you carry on where you were. After that you forfeit. If the Seeker drops and doesn't come back, the round is void: no winner, no payout.
Where does the prize go?
Prizes are pre-funded in USDG on Robinhood Chain into a per-round escrow before they're advertised. The escrow pays once, to the wallet you entered with. The round page links the funding, the escrow and the payout.
Can I play on my phone?
Entering, watching, replays and verification are built for phones. The hunt itself plays best with a keyboard and mouse, but Practice has touch controls if you want to try.
